We partnered with the American Institute of Architects to capture the spirit of the 2019 Women’s Leadership Summit, a record-setting biennial gathering of more than 750 women in architecture held in Minneapolis. The short film weaves together voices from across the event, with attendees and speakers reflecting on what leadership looks like in a profession where the path to the top still skews overwhelmingly male. From the power of women mentoring women, to the work of saying yes when an opportunity feels just out of reach, to architecture’s ability to shape the lives of the people who move through it, the piece captures a community of leaders willing to share their stories so others can find their own. It was an honor to be in the room with them.
